As part of the Areen Architecture Lecture Series at the American University of Beirut, the poster was commissioned to promote Amale Andraos' presentation under the title “What’s in an image”.

In order to address the design, inspiration was stemmed from the architectural scheme of Andraos and Wood’s proposed design for the upcoming Beirut Contemporary Art Museum, which features intricate openings as an ironic statement against the city’s closed consensus.

In order to do so, the poster proposes a graphic and 2D take on the 3D monument using basic graphic material such as paper, folding and tearing.
